NASA has officially selected Jeff Bezos’ company, Blue Origin, to lead the first of THREE planned lunar landing missions before the end of 2026 — a major step toward building a permanent human presence on the Moon. And yes… this is real.
For decades, returning to the Moon felt like science fiction. Now, private companies are racing to make it happen faster than anyone imagined. Bezos’ “Blue Moon” lander is expected to carry scientific equipment and technology to the Moon’s south pole — a region believed to contain frozen water that could one day support astronauts living there permanently.
What makes this moment even bigger is that these missions are only the beginning. NASA says more than a dozen additional lunar missions could follow in the coming years as humanity prepares for lunar bases, long-term exploration, and eventually missions to Mars.
